If $E=10,J=20,O=30,$ and $T=40,$ what will be $P+E+S+T?$

• B. $82$
• C. $120$

Comments

One can remember the sequence EJOTY, for values corresponding to alphabets.

E=5, J=10, O=15, T=20, Y=25

By this we can easily see that given values for E,J,O,T are double of what is “traditionally” the value, and can solve this question easily.

Just a hint, rest you can do yourselves, the placings of EJOTY in actual is 5,10,15,20,25. Now compare these numbers to what is given. And find the answer.

P is actually 16 but due to double 32

E is 5 but due to double 10 

S is actually 19 after updated 38 

T is 20 but due to double it value considered as 40
